Named after "bonk," a term that means energy loss and fatigue in the endurance sports world, Jason Winn used his mother's kitchen to create the peanut butter and jelly energy bar.
For the first ten months, Jason began handing out samples at running and cycling events, triathlons and kids' programs.
With determination and word-of- mouth exposure, Bonk Breaker propelled themselves to the top of Competitor Magazine's "Best of 06" Energy Bar category.
